19世紀末。吸血鬼・人造人間・人狼など、異形な存在がまだ暮らしていた世界。首から下のない不老不死の美少女探偵・輪堂鴉夜が、“鬼殺し”の異名を持つ半人半鬼の真打津軽と、彼女に付き従うメイドの馳井静句と共に、怪物専門の探偵 “鳥籠使い”として数々の事件を解決しながら、鴉夜の奪われた体を探してヨーロッパを巡る―――。
